Frequently asked questions

How is the recipe connected to the label?▾

It's one input. The ingredient list drives both the per-serving breakdown and the nutrition label at the same time — change the recipe or the servings and both update instantly. There is no second form and nothing to copy between tools.

What does it calculate per serving?▾

Calories, total fat, total carbohydrate and protein per serving, plus the share of calories that come from each macro. All values come from the per-100g figures in the ingredient table, summed across the recipe and divided by the servings you enter.

Can I label the whole recipe instead of per serving?▾

Yes. The live label has a toggle for 'Per serving' and 'Whole recipe', so you can show the panel for the entire batch or for a single portion.

Is the label good enough to sell food with?▾

The panel follows the FDA 2016 format (serving size, calories, % Daily Value) and is fine for blogs, internal use and market stalls where lab-verified panels aren't required. Selling packaged food in the US means checking 21 CFR 101.9 — use this as a planning tool, not compliance sign-off.

Do you store my recipe?▾

No. The entire calculation runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded, so your recipe never leaves your device.

This tool estimates nutrition from a standard ingredient database and is not a substitute for professional labelling advice. Verify against official sources before selling food.
