Frequently asked questions

Is this label legally compliant for selling food?▾

The panel follows the FDA 2016 format (serving size, calories, % Daily Value) and is fine for internal use, blogs and market stalls where your region does not require lab-verified panels. If you sell packaged food in the US, check 21 CFR 101.9 — some categories require lab testing or specific rounding. Use this as a planning tool, not a substitute for compliance sign-off.

What nutrients does it calculate?▾

Calories, fat, total carbohydrate and protein per serving, drawn from the per-100g values in the ingredient table. Sodium, sugars and fibre are not yet in the dataset, so they are left off the panel rather than guessed.

Where do the nutrition numbers come from?▾

Each ingredient is matched to a per-100g value from USDA FoodData Central approximations. The recipe total is the sum of its ingredients, divided by the number of servings you enter. Values are for raw ingredients as listed.

Do you store my recipe?▾

No. The entire calculation runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded, so your recipe never leaves your device.

This tool estimates nutrition from a standard ingredient database and is not a substitute for professional labelling advice. Verify against official sources before selling food.
